Lucky number 7

This is not a Joe Mauer post -- I will leave that until later where we will discuss his ability to clog any other 1st base option for the next 3 years...but the number 7 is how many camps I have made it to now it is 2016.
Wow.
Like really wow -- 7 camps?  I thought this was going to be a one time deal back in 2010. Alot of fun times here and look forward to the next chapter for fantasy camp.
I coach a 4th grade basketball team and on the way to the game my 4th grader (Grant) asks me -- "How many camps are you going to?"  Now mind you my wife and other son are in the car as well -- my 12 year old (Ty) decides this is a good question and says, "Yea.....how many dad?"

They got me on the spot -- I told them, "great question, I will probably try to make it to 3 more and make it 10 -- you know the camp Hall of Fame induction goes to those who make it to 10 camps."    Grant says, "so maybe like 15?"  I reply, "well we will see - I will play it year to year"  (I know you were wondering -- but the "Heat" won 40-26 to move our record to 4-1 on the year -- 4th grade basketball...)

Well we will consider what future camps I will attend at another time - but tonight was opening banquet and we meet the new crop of rookies -- looks like a good young group and a number of father-son combos -- so maybe I should consider my 16th camp and go with my two sons -- but that would have to be in the year 2031.

It rained quite a bit this evening so we shall see what the field conditions bring so the campers can get some workouts in and get some swings, grounders, and pitching to start the camp off - the rookies play a scrimmage in afternoon during the Vikes game - so let's hope the sun comes out and dries off the fields so nothing gets moved around.

Go Vikes -- my prediction is Seattle 13, Vikes 10 -- hope i am wrong.....
