The Teams are Announced!

So the teams are announced -- and here are the team names and the coaches for:

1)  C & C Crew - coached by Bill "Soup" Campbell and Milt Cuyler
2)  Mexican Stingers - coached by Juan Berenguer & Lee "Stinger" Stange
3)  No-Lo Contendres - coached by Ron Coomer & Julio Becquer
4)  BruBekSki's - coached by Kent Hrbek & Tom Brunansky
5)  Padrones - coached by Frank Quilici & Tony Oliva
6)  You Must be Kidding Me - coached by Tim Laudner & Mickey Hatcher
7)  Pro's Plus - coached by Dick Stigman & Dave Goltz
8)  The Humble "13" - coached by Eric Rasmussen & Gene Larkin
9)  The Warriors - coached by Rick Aguilera & Phil Roof
10) GagNe With a Spoon - coached by Frank Viola & Greg Gagne (see name of team....)

The camp week should be very interesting -- 10 teams this year, we are playing 8 games of pool play -- two games of doubleheaders everyday -- Mon, Tues, Weds, Thursday -- we have in the past played just 7 games which included a Weds afternoon "free time"-- well no break this year -- going to be some tired legs come towards the end of the week!

Ok -- so here it is -- my predictions for this year -- I think the camp has 5 quality teams and 5 teams which I think might have a hard time consistently winning -- only 4 teams will make the upper bracket playoffs and 4 teams will fill out the lower bracket -- the 9 seed/10 seed end up playing a game on Friday (no playoffs) so that works out for them -- in the end we will play 9 games....possibly 10....wow.

So here it is -- in no particular order:

Top teams:  No Lo Contendres (yes of course I think we have a good team), BruBekSki's, Padrones
Good teams that might be really good:  The Warriors and C&C Crew
The rest:  You Must be Kidding Me, Pro's Plus, The Humble "13", GagNe with a Spoon and Mexican Stingers

Last year I didn't do so well with my predictions -- let's see what this year brings -- two games tomorrow -- let's do this!
