Sunday Morning Clinics - Rookie game

Today is a great day if you are a rookie - you enter the clubhouse and find your Twins Jersey with your last name on it hanging in your locker. It makes you feel like a big leaguer.

Today started with a stretching routine led by Bill "Soup" Campbell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Campbell_(baseball). Bill is in amazing shape for a 65 year old - someone to model an exercise program after indeed.
Video of campers stretching arms. We have over 100 campers this year - should be a great time.

We then were split up into small groups and were given instruction on Pitching, Catching, Hitting, Fielding, and Baserunning.
Video of Ken getting some hacks in.

We had lunch and then the afternoon was the "rookie games". This is where the coaches (Pro Staff) walk around and try to figure out who can play this game and who can do what. Catchers and Pitches are high demand around here so they will be drafted high. As I type the fantasy camp draft is going on - I would love to just be a fly on the wall as they really set it up like many of us have fantasy football drafts. They put all the campers names on the wall and set up the teams. We will have dinner and they will announce the teams this evening.

Off to Dick's Sporting goods, I need new cleats. I figured they would have more options since more people can play baseball here year around.
