Weds - Game 5 - just one game today...

The Cuban Comets only played one game today - a morning game. The weather a little brisk with the first pitch temperature of around 50 degrees. The sun was out and Dick Bremer was on the mound. The Comets gave up a run in the top of the first but started off hot scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. PB walked with the bases loaded, "He didn't give me anything to hit today - I felt ready to produce with a big hit." and then MW popped out to first to end a potential huge inning for the Comets. Bremer continued his fine pitching adding another 6 shutout innings and the Comets added 7 more runs in route to an 11-1 victory pushing their record to 4-1 for the week.

PB: 1 for 2, 2 BB's, 2 Runs, RBI
MW: 0 for 3 (early batting practice tomorrow)

The Comets will finish up the round robin schedule tomorrow with a double header and are set up to finish as either the 2 or 3 seed tomorrow.
